-Learn How to Make Your Commands Reliable Where They REALLY COUNT:
-Learn PROPER CLICKER MECHANICS |
** HOME Training ** **STREET Training ** **PARK Training **
*************************************** |
Dear Valued Client, As you probably know, I have made an ongoing habit of looking into all the training programs available - those that use positive reinforcement and those that use punishment with leash corrections, etc. I have found that all the programs seem to have one thing in common - that they don't even address the absolute basics which are so crucial to a non-professional dog owner. So after giving it a lot of thought I have decided to have, on ten Sunday afternoons in the near future, *two* 5 session class series for $350.00 per series:
The first series will begin with five owners, but *without* their dogs. The dog they will work on will be my fully trained Miko. This class will learn proper clicker mechanics and lure reward training. Using only my dog will enable you to grasp the basic fundamentals (without the pressure that bringing your untrained dog would naturally create). What you will learn in the class you can immediately take home and start to practice on your dog. After this basics five session, five week *working with results *program, we will start the next session where both owners and dogs would attend and build on the home-work of the first session. All the owners’ important questions would have been addressed in the first five sessions so we will be able to hit the ground running and focus mainly on training procedures when the dogs are brought into the class. |

Skin Treatment Testimonial: March 14, 2011 Dear Jay - I wanted to share the good news that just one week after seeing you, Peaches' staph infection cleared up entirely from the inner ear. The vet couldn't believe it. Thank you for teaching me to use the ear cleaner on the cotton ball, it provided her a lot of relief. She's stopped chewing her feet and her coat looks healthy and shiny. We really appreciate it and want you to continue with regular treatments. Katherine |

Meet
Jay - the Trainer, Groomer and Pet Lover

Jay is licensed in animal care and handling
techniques from the New York Department
of Health # 97 ACHT313
Jay Andors,
a certified Master Groomer with over 20 years of experience, graduated
from the
original
New York School of Dog Grooming. He studied with Mr. Sam Cole the author
of The All-Breed Dog Grooming Guide which is considered “the bible” of
the art and used for reference by all dog groomers. (Upon graduation
Mr. Cole asked Jay to teach at the school.) Jay however had different
goal.
Born into a family of animal lovers (his father was a graduate of the Cornell School of Agriculture and his cousins raise horses), Jay wanted to set up a grooming shop of his own. With this in mind he worked in grooming shops all over town in order to become experienced on all breeds. While training in the shops Jay observed the best and the worst of how other groomers worked and how their shops were run.
Jay was also personally trained by the inventor of HYDROSURGE, Dr. Robert Loeb, in the various techniques using the HydroSurge sytem which uses a completely unique combination of coat shampooing and care products and special water pumps and spray nozzles in the tubs that penetrate the coats down to the skin with an invigorating, massage-like actions. It then recirculates the various aloe, vitamins, and all natural ingredients in the bathing solution with great results:
This bathing - especially on a regular basis - eliminates many of these conditions that often lead to more common and serious systemic problems such as hot spots, staff infections, incessent itching and odor. Part of the joy of having an animal is the ability to happily cuddle with it, returning its affection. Make a healthier life for both you and your pet - and kids, friends and visitors is worth it every day!Dr. Robert Loeb raises keeshonds and invented HydroSurge and his bathing system to help take care of his own dog- Keesha who had skin problems. Jay’s beloved dog Apollo also suffered from serious skin problems from the time he was a puppy. These skin problems were controlled by Dr. Loeb’s bathing method and Apollo lived to be a healthy 13 years old.
Combining
all of his grooming skills and experiences, his love of animals, his
insights into skin problems and his ability to teach; Jay opened his
unique shop HydroSurge Animal Bathing Center in 1996.
At HydroSurge,
haircutting is done by Jay (call or email for an appointment). Grooming
is also done by Jay, and owners are always welcome to stay. If they
would like, the
individual pet owner can share in Jay’s years of experience
and his knowledge of grooming and skin care for dogs & cats and
learn to bath their dog or cat themselves in a fully equipped environment.
Jay’s
shop places the emphasis on the bath, the conditioning and the blow
drying.
Jay
teaches
the
individual
pet owner how to bathe, brush, currycomb or shed out those breeds
that need special attention. Pet owners tend to be more thorough
and kinder
than the average paid bather and at HydroSurge can learn to bathe
their pet just as well or better than any bather or fluffer in the
finest
grooming shops - and do it for about half the price!
If you want to learn how to give a full haircut, clipping lessons
are also available.
